Swoon is the brainchild of Amy Wong Micucci. Married in the winding vineyards of the Sonoma Valley in 2008, Amy was inspired to create the brand after scouring the market for her own bridesmaids. Simple, elegant shapes in soft colors that would look at home against the natural surroundings of her ceremony and reception were harder to find than she’d imagined. Off the rack shopping offered styles that worked but fabrics that didn’t. Bridesmaid-specific custom styles were often too formal for her relaxed California aesthetic. So Amy designed and sewed simple, lemon-hued silk chiffon dresses herself. An expert at knowing what women want to wear, Amy has spent the past decade buying, merchandising and directing contemporary fashion collections for brands like bebe and Levi Strauss. Her professional experience and industry knowledge coupled with a lifelong passion for sewing and patternmaking have paved the way for Swoon’s success. Amy currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband John and their Boston terrier, Muggs.
